Discovering New Spaces (german: Spielräume)

From October 31 to November 8, 2026, the 19th Film Music Days Saxony-Anhalt will open new SPIELRÄUME (“spaces to play” / “room to maneuver”) for creativity, innovation, and encounter. This year’s focus is on children’s film and games music, two forward-looking growth areas of the audiovisual industry, along with the question of how artificial intelligence and digital producing are changing the future of film music.

Look forward to a top-tier panel, inspiring conversations with renowned composers and industry experts, hands-on workshops, and exciting networking formats such as the pitching event “Meet Your Film Music Partner,” where creative talents get a stage and can spark new collaborations. The crowning finale is the gala concert at the opera house with the Staatskapelle Halle under the direction of Bernd Ruf.
