What our graduates say

Animation Masterclass – Pre-Production for Animation

With its range of workshops, the IAMA has created an incomparable opportunity for people from all walks of life to gain deep insights into the world of film. At the pre-production workshop, we learned everything we need to know to prepare an animation production in a very short space of time. And that for all possible formats, be it series or film, cartoon or 3D – there was really no question left unanswered. A real gem for anyone who wants to get started and for anyone who wants to deepen their knowledge.

Many thanks, dear IAMA!

Color Grading – Professionals

I took part in the “Color Grading for advanced students” and “Color grading for professionals” workshops.
The lecturers’ work was great, the technical equipment on site worked well and there was an incredibly friendly, constructive atmosphere.
Through joint exercises, questions and mutual feedback with and from other participants, we were able to get to know many more perspectives and approaches.
The coffee rounds with lots of interesting conversations and networking opportunities should not be underestimated either.
You could tell that IAMA was not about selling a workshop, but about educating participants and taking them further, so I can only warmly recommend it!

Colord Grading – Beginner

The workshop provided a good overview for beginners and was always based on realistic work situations. There was also a good balance between theory and hands-on activities.
What I liked best was the relaxed atmosphere, which made it easy to exchange ideas and network with other course participants was easy.

Anselm Ehrig

Postproduction Supervisor – Professionals

The group of participants was very diverse, although it goes without saying that there was too little time – that was already clear in advance. I am absolutely thrilled with the way in which you set up this workshop, though. The selection of lecturers was superb, and at no point did I have the feeling of being at a business workshop, as is often the case. You consistently succeeded in creating a very
personal, intimate atmosphere, and I felt very comfortable. A very big thanks to Niko Remus, who was award-winning in his role of talk show host. I will miss the discussions over coffee, and I am already looking forward to our 10-year class reunion in Halle. Thank you all so much.

Postproduction Supervisor – Young

I was amazed at how quickly a family atmosphere came about at the workshop. The workshop was aimed at newcomers to the profession, and offered an excellent introduction to the differing disciplines of post-production. The workshop proved to be invaluable for my career, as shortly after it, I was approached by a film production company to coordinate the post-production for a cinema project. Thank you, IAMA!

Pre Production for Animation – Animation Masterclass

The pre-production workshop provided a wonderful overview of all the steps involved in pre-production and also gave an insight into the financing of large projects. The opportunity to ask questions beyond the course topics to someone from the industry and to get to know participants with different professional backgrounds in the practical part was a very enriching experience for me. The whole atmosphere was relaxed, open and motivated and left me wanting more!

Postproduction Supervisor – Young

The workshop gave me an exciting and detailed insight into the work in the field of post-production coordination. The expertise and professional input of the speakers was complemented by the personal accounts of their everyday work and therefore made tangible. I found the discussions with the other participants particularly enriching – thanks to the workshop, we were able to network and will continue to support each other in the future. The atmosphere was very informal and cooperative – I am very much able to recommend this workshop!
